Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi

Last Sunday, we went to the Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi. With the two kids in tow, as much as Rob and I enjoyed looking at the paintings and other pieces, they did not fancy them. Luckily, entrance fee was less than $2 per person so we can go back without kids another time.

ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ တနင်္ဂနွေနေ့က Hanoi မြို့မှာရှိတဲ့ အနုပညာ ပြတိုက်ကို ရောက်တယ်။ Rob နှင့် ကျွန်မက  ကြိုက်သလောက် ကလေးနှစ်ယောက်က စိက်မဝင်စားဘူး။ ကံကောင်းတာက ဝင်ကြေးက တစ်ယောက်ကို $၂ တောင်မကြတဲ့အတွက် ကျွန်မတို့နှစ်ယောက်ပဲ ကလေးတွေ မပါဘဲနှင့် ထက်သွားရမယ်။

As many of you know, I am not an outdoor person but enjoy visiting museums. I have been to several museums in many cities in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Although I cannot claim that this museum in Hanoi is the best, it had a good collection of ancient and contemporary arts. Some collections were from as early as 10th century and some were very recent. Artists used gouache, lacquer, and many other mediums.   

သိတဲ့အတိုင်း ကျွန်မက အပြင်မှာ လုပ်ရတဲ့ အားကစား ဝါသနာ မပါဘူး။ ဒါပေမယ့် ပြတိုက်တွေ သွားရတာတော့ ကြိုက်တယ်။ ကျွန်မက Americaမှာ၊ ဥရောပမှာ၊ အာရှမှာ ရှိတဲ့ ပြတိုက်တွေ အတော်များများ ရောက်ဖူးတယ်။ Hanoiက အနုပညာ ပြတိုက်ကို အကောင်းဆုံးလို့ မပြောနိုင်ပေမယ့် စုဆောင်းထားတဲ့ ပန်းချီကားတွေ၊ ပန်းပုတွေနှင့် အခြား အနုပညာ လက်ရာတွေဟာ အထင်ကြီးစရာပဲ။ တချို့ ပစ္စည်းတွေဟာဆိုရင် လွန်ခဲ့ ၁၀ရာစုနှစ်လောက်က  ပစ္စည်းတွေရှိသလို နောက်ဆုံး ပေါ် ပန်းချီကားတွေလဲရှိတယ်။ အနုပညာရှင်တွေက ရေဆေးပန်းချီတွေ၊ ယွန်းပန်းချီတွေ အစုံပဲ။

It is admirable for people and the government to invest in art that is historical as well as modern, and not serving as a propaganda tool. They do not charge different entrance fee for foreigners and locals. I was very impressed overall.

ပြည်သူတွေရော အစိုးရရော အခုလိုခောတ်မှီနှင့် ခောတ်ဟောင်း အနုပညာတွေကို ဝါဒဖြန့်ချိရေး အတွက်မဟုပ်ပဲ ရင်းနှီးမြှုပ်နှံတဲ့အတွက် အထင်ကြီး ဖို့ကောင်းတယ်။ နိုင်ငံခြားသားမို့ ပိုက်ဆံလည်း ပိုမတောင်းဘူး။ အရမ်းအထင်ကြီးဖို့ကောင်းတယ်။
